Our exquisite mahogany Boston Bowfront Four Drawer Chest features bowed, lockable birdseye maple drawer fronts, bordered with black-white string, fiddleback mahogany and ebony moulding, accented with brass “heron” pulls. The drawer rails are fiddleback mahogany. The wide-board top features an edge inlaid with white darts on black on tiger maple, and a surface perimeter band of white-black-white string emphasizing the bowed facade. The elegant base, with flared legs and cyma curves, is surmounted with a band of white-black-satinwood, and inlaid with a spray of holly bellflowers, leaves, and berries, tied with a bowknot. The back is wide-board pine. The french-polished, water-resistant varnish is hand-rubbed to a resplendent patina.
