The ADRIANCE BOW & COVE FEDERAL-STYLE DESK is a superb rendition of Englishman George Hepplewhite designs, circa 1794. Highly refined, elegant-yet-restrained furniture workmanship in this style emerged in Boston during the Federal Period 1795-1820.

The fine Bow and Cove façade features birdseye maple drawer fronts accented with brass knobs. The drawer interiors exhibit finely hand-sawn dovetail joinery.

A matched wide-board genuine mahogany top compliments gracefully double-tapered legs which are inlaid with bowknots tying meandering vines and over graduated bellflowers & berries, outlined with string border inlays.  The leg ankle cuffs are inlaid at four faces. The case is inlaid with a checkered border along the lower edge. The drawer rails are inlaid with fiddleback mahogany.

Handmade to last with authentic mortise & tenon joinery and hand-finished with water-resistant varnish and waxed to a lustrous sheen. An Adriance heirloom desk will be treasured by you and generations to come.

Offered as part of our inventory sale at $17,000, this Federal Bow & Cove Desk carries a true value of $30,000 reflecting its scale, materials, and workmanship. A rare opportunity to acquire a substantial, heirloom‑quality piece.
